At age 13, Josh Sutcliff was a dishwasher intrigued by the chaos of the kitchen. A year later, he experienced the mania first-hand, cooking at the small North Carolina restaurant where he remained until high school graduation.

Josh moved to San Francisco to prove that he could cook with the best in the country, which he did at Bix while graduating from Le Cordon Bleu San Francisco.

When his wife’s job brought them to Dallas, Josh found a job with chef Matt McCallister at FT33, and a culinary camaraderie was born. Josh then opened Mirador in August 2016, featuring modern American cuisine using local, seasonal ingredients. Gaining 4 stars from Leslie Brenner of the Dallas Morning News and winning rising star chef of the year award from Culturemap Dallas.
