Job Summary:

Reporting to and in partnership with the CEO, the Development Associate and Communication Specialist position ensures the giving experience is rewarding for our donors while helping to create opportunities to increase the base of support for KidLinks.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

  • A key data position, supports all aspects of our nonprofit development area
  • Responsible for donor data management, reporting and gift processing
  • Lead staff in North Texas Giving Day Efforts
  • Provide data and support for the Board Director Development Committee
  • Responsible for writing and distributing four (4) quarterly letters and two (2) newsletters
  • Works directly with PR firm to grow social media presence on platforms
  • Applies communications skills to accurately and effectively communicate KidLinks mission

Qualifications:

  • Prior fundraising experience
  • Experience with donor management software (Little Green Light and Donor Search a plus)
  • Experience and proficiency with current social media platforms and electronic mailing systems
  • Proficient using a Mac in Microsoft Office and all Microsoft and Google products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Operates with a high level of personal responsibility and optimism
  • Strong customer-service orientation and outstanding people skills
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Marketing experience a plus.
