We have several new and exciting things happening here at KidLinks. Not only are we able to continue providing music therapy to kids in our community thanks to our very generous donors, but we are expanding the areas in which we serve. Unfortunately, we had to close our Hurst location, however we are adding Fort Worth, Ellis County, and Dallas to the areas that we serve. Additionally, we also still offer virtual music therapy for clients unable to commute to any of those locations. In expanding our locations, we often get questions relating to what exactly music therapy is and what it is we do. That can be a really difficult question to answer because every session is so different! Music therapy is very client centered, so we typically provide interventions that are specific to the client and his/her needs. To help address some general questions we typically get, we’ve provided a quick little graphic. We hope this can answer some questions about music therapy and if you have other questions that weren’t covered, please feel free to contact us! We always love hearing from you and would be happy to talk with you!
