I am a music therapist and have worked contract for the KidLinks organization for 16 years. My work with KidLinks is child-centered. I work with children on the spectrum and children with a wide range of abilities. The clients that I work with actively participate in the music-making process. As the therapist, I actively manipulate, shape, teach, and connect through music. I look for ways to make the musical connections as successful as possible through conversations, music making, gathered data, and clear goals. This is one of the primary differences between music that is therapeutic in nature and music that is therapy. Contact KidLinks if you want more information or would like music therapy for your kid. We have so many wonderful therapists on our staff, we would love to hear from you. I have included a visual you can print to help your child identify the objects in the song and maybe even learn how to spell them.
