Open your arms to this fun craft and conversation about how we show we
care! Whether it’s giving someone a big hug, offering a helping hand,
sharing a special toy, it’s these gestures that make the world a better place to
live.
Materials needed:
- Cardstock
- Markers
- Scissors
- Ribbon
- Tape
Directions:
- Have a child trace their hand on two pieces of cardstock
- Once completed, talk to them about some of the ways we can show someone you care
- Add one way to each finger
- When all ten fingers are filled out cut out the hands
- Measure your child’s “hug” by having them spread their arms wide and measure the length from palm to palm
- Cut ribbon to the same length
- Tape the ribbon ends on the inside palms of the decorated hands
