The Buddy System is a great reminder that we don’t have to walk through life alone. By creating a system of support, we are able to accomplish difficult things with the love and support of our friends. The friendship necklaces are an easy way to acknowledge those that we love and to celebrate them in a fun creative way.

Supplies Needed

• Construction paper
• Scissors
• Ribbon
• Hole puncher

Directions

1. Cut out a heart shape
2. Cut it jaggedly down the middle and use a hole punch to create a hole on each side
3. Thread a piece of ribbon through each one creating a necklace.
4. Have them share one side of the heart with someone they care about.
